THIS IS THE WEBSITE FOR THE DALLASTOWN CLASS OF 1970

This is our site to brag about accomplishments, seek out old friends, learn of up-coming events and, hopefully, to learn of past events.

Updated news is added to the end of this page. So be sure to read it all.

If anyone has pictures of past reunions they would like to share, you can mail them to me and I will put them on the site. I will then return the pictures to you. Possibly this would encourage more people to attend the reunions. I know there were cameras at the reunions because I am allergic to them and I had quite a night avoiding them.

If you go through pictures and find "cute" ones of classmates, send them in. We can have a "Guess Who?" page. Of course, if you send pictures like that, be sure to identify them so I can provide the answers.

As stated before, this is our page. Any ideas and/or suggestions are most welcome. Just let me know.

Thank you for visiting the Class of 1970's website and please be sure to sign the guest book.

Addresses are from the Dallastown High School Directory of 1998. If some are incorrect, I apologize.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

It seems that in 2002 most of us will be turning the big 5 0. I think there is a committee formed so we can all celebrate this birthday together. After all, weren't most milestones celebrated with at least one person in the class: starting school, going to high school, becoming a teen-ager, sweet sixteen. You know what I mean.

Happy Birthday to us!
Rain or Shine we are having a party!
It will be at Diane Markey Pittman's house. 2722 S Queen St., York.
The date is a definite. The time is 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. It is for
classmembers and their significant others ONLY.

Stay tuned for more information as it developes.

The party was great! The weather was warm but not too warm. About 35 class members showed up. Some with their significant others and some without.

The bocce ball court seemed to be the highlight of the day. Priscilla Williams' husband, Skip, was the "ace". My husband, Mitch, and Connie Smyser were the only ones to use the pool although there were a lot of feet danglers. I don't know who the king of the horsehoe pits was. Austin Eberly participated in rubber match but didn't win. I can't recall who won. Sorry winners.

The food was good! Especially Kay Bjork's pineapple something. She is going to send it in and it will be posted. Was was great hot and she said it was equally good cold.

For those who didn't want to celebrate their birthdays, we only sang Happy Birthday once and that was to Steve Darr because it actually was his birthday.

A good time was had by all. It would have been nice to see more people though.

2004. A year until our 35th reunion. So far no plans are being talked about. If you have an idea - SEND IT IN!. It would be really nice to have a large turn-out. If you see someone on the "lost" list and you know where this person is, send in their address. Maybe your high school years weren't your favorite years. Well, people do grow up, mature and find out they are not the only ones in the world. If you've never been to a reunion, think about coming. After the birthday party, it was thought we might have something as informal as that. If your high school years weren't your favorite, you can come, sit under a tree and observe. Maybe you will find others have changed. It's worth a thought and a try.

10/7/2004 - Jeff Ferree, our fellow classmate, and his wife have opened a bed and breakfast in Waynesville, NC. The website will be www.windoverinn.com when his son is done building it.

Since the websit isn't up and running, I will give you an insite. (I saw pictures and it is beautiful country) The Windover Inn is located about 30 minutes from the Eastern side of the Smoky Mountains National Park. It is nestled into a secluded acre of lush gardens. Area attractions include: The Great Smokey Mountain National Park Scenic Drives, Waterfalls, Hiking; Cherokee Indian Reservation and Harrah's Casino; mountain biking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting and golf. There is much more! Sounds like a place for romance or just family relaxation.

If you are interested before the pictures arrive, you can call Jeff or his wife, Pam, at 1-866-452-4411. The email for the Inn is relax@windoverinn.com

Congratulations Jeff and Pam on your new endeavor. The class of 1970 wishes you the best of luck and hope your inn is a HUGE success!

Our 35th Reunion
To those of you who could not come, you really missed the best reunion ever!!
To those of you who chose not to come, you really missed something.
The weather started out uncooperative but that didn't last long.
The classmates who attended may have gone home a little heavier from all the food, but they greatly enjoyed the openness of the party. No pictures were taken due to the fact that with the bocce ball and horseshoe tournaments, the feast and the overall congenial atmosphere there was not time or inclination to take pictures.
